Where has the time gone?????

Wow - I can't believe its been so long since I last blogged - where has the time gone? Things have been so busy at work and at home, that I just haven't found the time to blog. I guess I have been really taking the time to enjoy things as they are right now........just the four of us. I am trying to take extra time to spend with the kids before the sleep deprivation sets in! I think I am feeling guilty - trying to figure out how we will ever spend enough time with each child......I did the same thing before Greyson was born - worried that poor Emma would suffer.....and that didn't happen - so I need to just relax and know that there is enough of us (and love) to go around for everyone! Now that my due date is here - I spend more time thinking about the upcoming labor and it scares the heck out of me......but I just remember what you get at the end - a beautiful baby.......what could be better??????? Today I am going to try and get some updating done on this blog - but if you don't hear from me for awile - just know that I am turning off the computer and television and I am going to enjoy my kids for a few weeks!!!!!!

Mother's Day

Happy Mothers Day!

We celebrated Mothers Day with our annual breakfast at the Dee Lite......not only was my mom there - but also my grandma! We had a great time together - here are some shots from afterwards.........
Mothers Day is a great day to remind us how wonderful our mothers are. I don't think you truly realize everything your mom has done for you, until you are a mother yourself. I have now realized this is the toughest job I will ever have - that it requires long hours, no pay, and little thank you's! Its also the most rewarding job I have ever had! Needless to say, I now feel bad for everything I ever put my poor mother through.......my kids will do or say something and I will think - did I do that to my mom? Yea, probably - and I now feel terrible! I am sure she giggles a little to herself when I tell her the many stories of what my children put me through and thinks - it has come full circle! I guess that is how it works and someday I will be laughing at my grandkids.....but in the meantime mom, thanks for everything you did (and still do) for me.......I do really appreciate it and I am sorry that I didn't tell you thank you enough! You are a great mom and I don't know what I (or any of us) would do without you - you are the best!!!!!!! I love you - Happy Mothers Day!

Zoo trip

Here are some shots of me and the kids at the annual St Matthews zoo trip! I was so glad to make it again for the visit - we always have so much fun there - and I decided to bring Emma along too.......I figured we might as well get one visit in - who knows if we will get back there this summer. Frank was going to go - but was still recovering from hernia surgery - so he decided he better sit this one out. Although not all of the exhibits were open yet (we missed our favorite - the stingrays) - it was still alot of fun and a great way to celebrate Earth Day!

Easter brunch

We celebrated Easter with an Easter brunch at Vic's - so I tried getting a few shots of the kids all dressed up - but it never fails, I can never get a decent shot of the two of them! Here is my best effort (and threats to get them to stand together and smile darn it!!!!!)

Easter morning

Well, thank goodness the Easter bunny made it to our house! The kids were so excited to wake-up and search out their Easter baskets - that darn bunny loves to hide them! Also, we are glad to report that the Easter bunny seems to be a Spartan fan (I figured as much) and brought both kids a sweet new spartan hat! Now if we can just get rid of that darn candy!!!!!!!
That last picture of Greyson just cracks me up - check out the look on his face!!!!! That is mommies little sweetie - see why I cave when he looks at me like that?!??!

Spring is here!

Thank goodness spring is here - I have never been happier to get out of our house! We broke the bikes out on this beautiful day and the kids had a blast!!!!! Our next goal - get Emma riding without those training wheels!!!!!!

Practicing for baby sister?

The kids decided to take Emma's water baby (baby Daniel) into the tub with them.....and everyone was holding him so gently - even Greyson was holding him above water (after Emma yelled at him!!!!)

My little Spartan!

We are starting them young - U of M is a swear word in our house and it will get you sent to time out! Go Green!

Just playin.......

When did they grow up? I was watching the kids play on this particular day (with no clothes on for some strange reason!) and it just hit me how big they looked......sometimes I think you just don't notice it until there clothes don't fit - but on this day I couldn't believe how darn big both of them look! I think I especially noticed Greyson - he was so small for so long - and now he is growing like a weed (thank god for good health!) I still miss my sweet little babies - but I am enjoying every age we pass through (I think that might change when Emma hits her teen years!!!!)......needless to say, I am so proud of the little people they are! And I can't wait for the next one to join in the fun!

Undies

This is from awhile back (notice the cast is still on Greys arm) but is so cute, just had to post. We had been working with Greyson on his potty training - and bought him "big boy underwear" - but he decided to put a pair of Emma's on.......and she thought that was quite funny........Emma then decided to put on one of Greyson's pull-ups (how she wedged into it - is beyond me....the girl is SKINNY!). Just another day around our house!!!!!!

Boo-boo?

Greyson has become quite fond of band-aids.....it seems like every little injury requires a band-aid. Of course, I love the fact that everytime he hurts himself he wants mommy to "kiss it".....I love that age!!!!!! On this particular day he ran into the wall (typical boy) and was quite insistent that we put a band-aid on his head! I tried to explain to him that we don't usually put them on your face and there was no bleeding or need for a band-aid - but try to explain that to a two year old!!!!!!!! So, needless to say, he walked around with it on his face for the rest of the day!!!!!!

By the way, notice Emma's barrette in his hair too???????? He has to do EVERYTHING his big sister does!!!!!!! I am sure he will be so pleased to see this when he is older!!!!!

Valentines Day Sweeties

Here are a few shots of my two favorite valentines......they looked so cute! Emma was way excited for her valentines day party at school.....and Greyson was excited to hand out his Dora Valentines!
