Ultrasound results!
I had my ultrasound appointment on Friday - so Frank and I took the kids and headed out in the blizzard conditions (there was NO way I was rescheduling this appt!!!). Emma was very excited to get her first glimpse of the new baby......and we were all dying to find out what we were having! I didn't really have a preference (just healthy!) - but I had a "feeling" it was a girl - of course, my "feelings" were WRONG with both Emma and Greyson....so I didn't put much faith in that. Frank thought it was a boy (but had no preference).....and Emma hoped for a girl. Greyson changes his mind daily on what he wants......but he's two and doesn't have a clue what is coming his way!!!! We waited and waited as the ultrasound tech was doing her thing (especially me with a VERY full bladder) - she couldn't believe how active this little baby was - it was hard for her to get any pictures because the baby was moving non-stop (no surprise with my children!!!). Finally she asked us if we wanted to know what we were having and we all said YES! and she told us it was a girl!!!!!!! I must admit - all I want is a healthy baby - but a little bitty part of me did want another girl.....although I would love another boy - there is just something about those little girls.
Little monkey fell off the bed!

Well, leave it to Greyson to keep the holidays exciting! We were hanging out after Thanksgiving dinner at my parents and the kids were playing.....until we heard Greyson crying (quite loudly!). Frank went in to the spare bedroom to see what was going on and we found out that for some reason they decided it would be a good idea to jump from one twin bed to another (although Emma had the good sense not to!) - anywho, Greyson missed and fell to the floor - on his arm. Greyson is one of the toughest kids I know.....he has been through alot at his young age and not much slows him down. He is absolutely feerless (which scares me to death!)!! Even when he gets hurt - he cries for a minute or two and then is off again! When he didn't stop crying for twenty minutes I knew something must be wrong........so I ended up taking him to the ER where we found out he had broken his arm! My poor little guy had broken his arm - I felt terrible! He was such a trooper while everyone poked and prodded at him.....the only time he really got upset is when I had to leave his side for x-rays. They splinted his arm and told us to come back for a cast. He did pretty good the rest of the weekend - the splint seemed to help alot (that and ibuprofen)! We had the small problems - like figuring out what clothes he could wear that would fit over his splint and helping him eat with his left hand (wow - that is messy!!!!). Tuesday, he had the cast put on and now we wait for three weeks and hope it can come off before Christmas. As you can see the pictures, he's pretty proud of his splint / cast......and of course, Emma is thrilled that she gets to sign it! All I know is that if he is breaking bones at 2 years old - I have a LONG scary road ahead with this child!!!!!!
Thanksgiving morning

Here are a few shots of us playing around Thanksgiving morning. Greyson enjoyed showing off his pilgrim hat that he made (even though Emma wouldn't model her turkey hat!)! Also, I took a few shots of the kids' turkeys that they made at school. We had a great dinner at my mom and dad's - but of course, I forgot my camera!!!!! It was wonderful to spend time with the family and fill up on turkey!
