Best buddies.....

Here are some shots of the "crew" - Emma and Greyson and Nancy's kids Cambell and Hudson. After swimming class last week - the YMCA was sponsoring a healthy kids event - and we were lucky enough to be able to sit on a real firetruck!!! The kids loved it! We are very proud of Emma and Cambell because they are skipping the next level of swimming classes and moving up to the Eel class! They both are doing so great swimming!!!!!

Emma and Greyson love to play with Cambell and Hudson.....the girls have always been close - but its been interesting to see an extra bond forming between Emma and Hudson.......they are often holding hands and Emma keeps an "extra" eye on him.....its to cute. Sometimes people think those two are siblings. One thing is true, the four of them keep me and Nance on our toes!

Spring is Here!

Last night, after work, we played outside in the backyard with the kids - it was so beautiful out!!!! I am so glad that Spring is finally here. From the moment Greyson gets out of bed - he is banging on the sliding glass door to get outside! He is truly happy when he is outside.....here are some shots of my little sweeties enjoying the outdoors!!!

Little E

I had to do a seperate post for Emmas pics - they were too cute. She was wearing Greyson's sunglasses - she looked kinda silly.....but that is her. She has so much fun with her brother (although she won't admit at times). Also, she was enjoying having Daddy home to play with too!!!!!

Aquatic Center

Nancy and I have been taking the kids to swimming classes at the YMCA for the last six weeks or so - and the kids just love it.....Cambell and Emma are doing so great they get to skip the next level!!!! Greyson and Hudson swim with us and are pretty much handfuls - but they love the water!!!! Anyways, last week classes were cancelled due to Spring Break - so Nancy had the wonderful idea of taking the kids to the Holland Aquatic Center. We had been there a few times before and Emma just loves it.....so we decided to pack up the brood (our kids plus Cousin Jorden and Cam) and head there last Friday. What we didn't realize is that EVERYONE that didn't go somewhere for Spring Break would have the same idea!!!! The place was PACKED - but we made the best of it and had a great time. I tried to get some shots - but it was difficult with the number of people and splashing of water at my camera!!!!!!!

Belated Easter Pics

I must admit I go through periods when I am so good about taking pictures and then there are times where I just forget to grab the camera out (I guess I am just enjoying the moment)....anywho, Easter was one of those times where I didn't get too many pics. Here are the only decent shots I did take.......I'll do better next year!

Leotards

My mom watches the kids on Thursdays......and they love playing with her! The last time she was there - I came home and found the kids in Emma's leotards - I was laughing so hard I couldn't stand it! Greyson thought he was something special in that leotard - I couldn't get him to take it off!!!!! Check out my twin gymnasts!!!!! (It was hard to get a clear pic - they wouldn't stop moving!!!)

Emma

It was a bit chilly last weekend - but Emma really was itching to get outside and blow some bubbles.....so I bundled her up and sent her out! Took a few cute pics and thought I would share......I think they turned out pretty nice.......

Cousin Garrett

We found out yesterday that Jen and Marks little one - Garrett - was admitted to the hospital this weekend. They are running a bunch of tests - but they think it may be meningitis......just wanted to ask everyone to keep this poor little guy in your thoughts and prayers. I know first hand the pain of seeing your child in the hospital and feeling so helpless. My heart breaks when I think about Jen and Mark and what they must be going through. Thinking about Garrett made me realize how important it is to cherish everyday with your kids.....you just never know when something like that can happen. After everything we have gone through with Greyson - I am much more appreciative - but even so, there are times that I get so caught up in our day to day lives - you take things for granted and don't appreciate all the small things. We have so much to be thankful for and I am really trying to be more appreciative for what we have. So, hopefully this will be just another reminder about how we all should stop and smell the flowers more often......and maybe even hug your kids a little bit longer tonite and appreciate every moment with them.

First Shift!

Great News! Frank and I found out last week that he is moving to first shift starting this week. We had hoped to have him move to first in the Fall (when Emma started Kindergarten) - but its happening a bit earlier than planned. Its hard to believe that he has been on second shift for four years now! I can't seem to remember a time when he was home at nite during the week! And, although I have seen him today at work - it still hasn't set in that he will be home at nite! The kids are very excited that Daddy will be home to play with them and I am so exicted to have some extra help at home too - its alot of work being home at nite by yourself!!!!! So, we are all very thankful for this change and are looking forward to a great summer of family activities!

Bring on Spring!

I know its been awhile since I checked in - but sickness has run amuck at our house! In the last three weeks I have had both strep throat and the flu! The kids have had one cold after another - it seems like as soon as we get rid of a cold - they are sniffling again a few days later. I am so ready for Spring! Last weekend was just beautiful - we so enjoyed spending time outside cleaning up the yard - and it really pooped the kids out too!!!! I am ready to open the windows up and air out the house - send those germs a-packin!
